I established Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and    Technology to provide high quality courses in business related skills to match and support Brunei’s expanding enterprises. These varieties of courses and training suits government and private employees.

Our aim is to prepare students with knowledge plus work place attitudes and practices which will help them succeed in the international market place.

Educational research demonstrates that learning is faster and more thorough when students are actively engaged in the learning process. Confidence and competence develop rapidly through learning experiences that include life-like situations, and involvement in real-world experience.

 

CCCT programmes integrate work place experience and problem solving exercises to engage the students with their academic class work so they can apply the theory and understand its relevance and application.

 

Our addition of team building and personal development experiences to classroom work is designed to help students develop their work-place interaction skills, so they can put their knowledge and training into effecting use.  

 

To implement CCCT’s Learning Concept we have established an industry based Advisory Board, and engaged a team of exceptionally well qualified professionals from education, business and industry.  This team regularly reviews students’ progress and develops new projects, training experiences and classroom exercises to facilitate the learning process.

 

Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology Sendirian Berhad ( CCCT ) was established in August 2004 in response to a growing demand for quality Human Resource development services in Brunei. Our focus is to strategically manage training, staff development and educational experiences, to create a valuable and effective staff member; rather than just another person with a course completion certificate.

 

CCCT is a Human Resource development centre dedicated to addressing the following requirements in Brunei:

  • Accommodate the training needs of an increasing number of school leavers.
  • Assist the training of unemployed adults; especially young adults.

  • Respond to emerging changes in work force training requirements.

  • Promote cooperation and collaboration between industry sectors in work force training.

  • Encourage foreign students to live & study in this “abode of peace.”

  • Assist the government's emphasis on skills development in Information & Communication Technology

CCCT's Advisory board includes consultants from local business and industry. These consultants are highly qualified professionals with extensive expertise in business, engineering, manufacturing, work-place training and education in Brunei & abroad

CCCT 's full time team includes teaching staff from Brunei, the Asian region, and elsewhere. Our part-time teaching staff includes appropriately qualified, practicing business professionals. This team - lead by the Directors and Advisory Board – combines real-life workplace experience with academic qualifications and perspective, to create a unique HR development institution.
